Nowadays, when you got fever few days, the doctor will suspect you got Dengue Fever. I just take some medicine and drink a lot of water.

But very luck that i am not Dengue Fever. Just share some knowledge about Dengue Fever. Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms typically begin three to fourteen days after infection. This may include a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash. Recovery generally takes two to seven days. In a small proportion of cases, the disease develops into the life-threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets and blood plasma leakage, or into dengue shock syndrome, where dangerously low blood pressure occurs.I had Dengue Fever when I Form 5, I use around 1 month to recover and live in hospital nearly 1 week, that was a terrible memory in year 2013.

Dim Sum

When i am at Johor Bahru, I will go to eat Dim Sum. Dim Sum is a Chinese dish of small steamed or fried savory dumplings containing various fillings, served as a snack or main course. So we need to eat a lot to get full. The price for one basket is around RM3-RM3.50. I will introduct some my favourite Dim Sum.

This is Har gau (steamed shrimp dumplings). These are one of the most difficult dumplings to make properly: the skin should be translucent yet sturdy, slightly chewy but not tough, with perfectly cooked, crisp shrimp inside. Because it is difficult to make, so we can sure that it is delicious!!

This is Siu mai (open-topped steamed pork or shrimp dumplings), most of us know about this because it is famous. Open-topped steamed pork and/or shrimp dumplings made with a wheat flour wrapper, they often come topped with fish roe or grated carrot, or occasionally a single pea. Every time I can eat 20 Siu Mai.

When i was young, my grandmother don't let us eat chicken feet because they "Pantang" about if we eat chicken feet, our handwriting will become ugly. I eat for the first time when i am 15 years-old if i  remember correctly. In chinese we call hat "Fung Zao" means chicken feet. These are made by deep frying chicken feet until they become puffy and inflated, then stewing them in a sweet and savory sauce flavored with fermented soy beans. They have a unique, spongy, tender texture.

Johor Chingay 2017

As a Johorian, most of us will know about Chingay. Many people will ask what is Chingay?  Chingay  is an annual Chinese New Year’s festival thus shining and colorful parades are being held in the city.  JB Chingay is a special Chinese New Year’s Celebration as the festivities in Johor Bahru don’t simply end with the 15th day of the first lunar month but rather continue for another week which is 21th day of the first lunar month. It is the oldest procession in Malaysia running over a century and originated as a celebration of the harvesting season.

It starts at Xing Gong and goes through the main road of the city and back to Xing Gong.

They will stop at Grand Stand along the street Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Members of the Royal Family and other VIP’s are set up on a stage and greet the deities, floats and worshippers. Almost every time they stop at the main points, gods are being rocked and the lion and dragon dancers usually do a dance performance.

This is the "big flat", the performer will perform sometime because this is very heavy and 10-15minutes will change another person to carry it.
